Davao City court receives 2 bomb threats

Two bomb threats stalled hearings at the Davao City Regional Trial Court this morning. A report by radio dzMM said that the first prank call was received by Bernadette Espiritu, civil case in-charge of Branch 14, around 8 a.m.

The report said that the caller told Espiritu that a bomb will explode on the third floor of the local court's building.

Hearings and transactions at the judiciary building was suspended as police searched for the bomb for 30 minutes, which turned out negative.

An hour after, another call was taken by Analiza Ramos, case in-charge of Branch 15. The caller again claimed that a bomb is planted on the third floor.

Police ordnance teams searched the building for the second time, but it also turned out negative.

Operations at the local court's building resumed around 10 a.m.
