Davao City on high alert amid Marawi attack

Task Force Davao and Davao City police are on heightened alert following the Marawi City attack by members of the terrorist Maute group.
TF Davao is implementing a strict inspection of all vehicles and passengers that enter Davao City.
All passengers on board public utility vehicles are asked to disembark to undergo bag inspection.
TF Davao Commander Col. Erwin Bernard Neri told ABS-CBN News that even before the Marawi attack, they have been on high alert status since they consider Davao City as a target of varous terrorist groups.
Police also set up random checkpoints in Davao City.
Authorities have asked the public to be vigilant and immediately report suspicious persons.
