Rodrigo Duterte and his son, Paolo, are sure winners in the Davao City mayoral and vice mayoral races.

They both ran unopposed in the 2013 midterm polls.

As of 1:43 a.m. Wednesday, the older Duterte already had 419,691 votes while his son had 387,359 votes.

Duterte's daughter, Sara Duterte-Carpio, is the incumbent mayor of Davao but opted not to seek reelection.

Duterte, the city's incumbent vice mayor, was supposed to run against 5 other candidates.

However, his opponents were declared "nuisance candidates" by the Commission on Elections
