3 robbed, locked in vehicle

TWO salesmen and a driver were left locked in their vehicle after men robbed their collected money in Toril, Friday afternoon.

Based on the investigation of the Toril Police, victims Randolf CabaƱog Redondo, 26, and Jayraid Fuentes Egar, 21, employees of tobacco company, Mighty Corporation along with the driver identified as Eric Orog, 32, of Toril, Davao City, were attacked by three unindentified robbers while they parked outside LRT Kainan in Crossing Bayabas Road, Purok 2, Barangay Crossing Bayabas.

One of the suspects reportedly asked Redondo his sales collection while threatening the victim with his .38 caliber revolver.

In fear, Redondo surrendered a red bag containing his collection for the day, amounting to P1,989.

The two other suspects were also reported to have carted away one unit of cellular phone worth P6,000.

After the incident, the suspects left them inside the panel truck and escaped with a color black tricycle locally known as "payong-payong" and fled to an unknown direction.

Police then freed the victims who later identified one of the suspects as Jonathan Uganap Campania alias Tantan, resident of Batolusa, Barangay Bangkas, Toril.

Authorities are conducting follow-up investigation leading to the location of Campania and identification of his two other cohorts.
