Governor Rodolfo del Rosario, President of the Confederation of Provincial Governors, City Mayors and Municipal Mayors League Presidents in Mindanao (Confed), said he is confident President Benigno Aquino III will be able to fulfill his promise of concreting all national roads in the country before his term ends.
"As a governor and as President of Confed, ako po ay naniniwala na yan po ay tutuparin ni Pangulong PNoy," del Rosario said in an interview.
The governor affirmed Aquino's crusade for good governance and anti-corruption campaign, dubbed as "Daang Matuwid" (Righteous Path), will make it possible for the government to realize the target.
During the provincial sortie of the Team PNoy senatorial candidates in Tagum City, del Rosario trumpeted the "Daang Matuwid" crusade made it possible for the administration to increase public investment for more roads, more livelihood and employment, more school buildings and teachers, improved hospital facilities and wider universal PhilHealth coverage for the poor.
He revealed Davao del Norte has benefitted a lot with the construction of more farm-to-market roads and concrete highways.
Good roads, del Rosario said, has reduced travel time to tourist destinations, as well as, encouraged farmers to produce more with the easy movement of their produce.
"Countless more blessings are coming our way," he said, courtesy of the improving national economy.
The governor vouched for the continuity of the President's anti-corruption campaign, among other reforms, even beyond 2016, provided all the administration’s senatorial slate shall get a fresh mandate in the coming May 2013 polls.
Del Rosario endorsed the Team PNoy, saying "sila ang magpapatuloy sa susunod na anim na taon sa repormang sinimulan ng Aquino administration, kahit na ito'y matapos sa taong 2016."
