Davao region reports growing number of recoveries

The Department of Health Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-DCHD) announced on Sunday that out of the 474 cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Davao region, 301 have recovered.
Based on its Regional Situation Update as of 5 p.m. Sunday, two new recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of those who survived the disease to 301.
Those who recovered were a 29-year-old man from San Antonio, Agdao in Davao City, and a 21-year-old woman from Sto. Tomas in Davao del Norte. Both patients were reportedly asymptomatic.
Meanwhile, the DOH in Davao region recorded 13 new cases of COVID-19. Nine of these were from Davao City, two from Davao de Oro, one each from Davao del Sur and Davao del Norte. The DOH said 12 out of the 13 patients were asymptomatic.
Two of the patients were aged 67 years old, and were both from Barangay 23-C in Davao City. One of them showed symptoms on June 14.
The DOH report showed that the youngest patient recorded recently was a 21-year-old woman from Pandawan, New Bataan in Davao de Oro.
