ALL set for the oath-taking ceremony of Davao Mayor-elect Rodrigo Duterte at the City Hall ground starting at 8AM Sunday, June 30.

"The oath-taking will be a simple ceremony," Bong Go, Duterte's executive assistant, told Sun.Star Davao in a phone interview on Monday.

Judge Jill Jaugan-Lo, executive judge of Municipal Trial Court in Cities in Davao City, will administer the incoming city mayor's oath of office.

Go said other three incoming members of the House of Representatives will also take their oath Sunday.

They are Silvestre H. Bello III, of 1BAP (Unaang Barangay Ating Paunlarin), a party-list group that won a seat in the recent midterm elections, second district Representative Mylene Garcia and third district Representative Isidro T. Ungab.

Go said each of the lawmakers will take oath before three local judges -- Regional Trial Court (RTC) executive judge Pelagio Paguican, RTC Branch 17 presiding judge Evalyn Arellano-Morales, and Tagum City RTC Branch 30 presiding judge Rowena Apao-Aldawan.

Go said some personnel of the Davao City Police Office, Task Force Davao, and Traffic Management Center will be deployed for the overall security and traffic on June 30.

He said regional directors and barangay leaders are also invited to attend the program.

At least 300 chairs will be provided for the ceremony.

Lawyer Tristan Dwight Domingo, assistant city administrator, said they cooperate with the personnel of the Vice Mayor’s Office for the preparation of the program.

He said they would see to it that everything will be in order on June 30.

"Since smooth ang pagsulod ni Mayor Inday, she wants na same thing pud sa next admin," Domingo said.

"Giandam na pud ang mahimo niya nga opisina which is the CIO (City Information Office)," he said.
