6 arrested, P1.4 M shabu seized in Davao City

Six people were arrested while some P1.4 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in an anti-drug operation in Davao City on Sunday.

Police found the suspected shabu aboard a vehicle the suspects rode from Marawi City, according to a report on GMA Davao.

Five of the suspects were identified as Omar Pundirumpong, Jalamie Mamiscal, Jalanie Usman Hamza, Magomnang Amen Alauya and Faisah Menbantas.

But Pundirimpong, who was the target of the anti-drug operation, claimed they were just ordered to transport money.

The suspects also claimed they were promised P72 million for the delivery, and did not know they were carrying drugs.

Meanwhile, police believe a bigger syndicate is behind the group.
