No info linking Duterte's son to drugs

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao said Wednesday that it has no information on allegations that Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte is involved in illegal drugs.
The name of Paolo, son of presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, was dragged into the issue amid the rumored Great Drug Raid, allegedly a plot that will set up a shabu laboratory in the city to destroy the image of Davao and tarnish Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s credibility in pursuing a tough stance against drugs.
But PDEA-Davao Director Adzhar Albani said they have not found any link between the younger Duterte and drugs.
"We have no information regarding that," he told reporters during the AFP-PNP press conference held at the Task Force Davao headquarters in the Sta. Ana Pier last Wednesday morning.
Earlier, the younger Duterte even challenged those who are claiming that he is involved in illegal drugs to prove it and not just spread rumors.
"If you can prove that I am involved in drugs or any related drug activities, you don't need to arrest me, as I will go to prison on my own," the vice mayor said.
The younger Duterte also said that the type of politics of his critics is cowardly, as if he was indeed in illegal drugs, then, he would have been long dead.
