23 domestic flights cancelled due to 'Crising'

Twenty-three domestic flights were cancelled Tuesday due to bad weather brought about by tropical depression "Crising". The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) media affairs division said Cebu Pacific cancelled 11 flights while Air Philippines cancelled 6 flights.

Zest Airways, on the other hand, cancelled 2 flights while Philippine Airlines cancelled 4 flights.

State weather bureau PAGASA said Crising has maintained its strength and is now moving closer to the southern tip of Davao del Sur.

In its 11 a.m. Tuesday bulletin, PAGASA said Crising is still packing maximum winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center.

It was located 100 kms southeast of General Santos City and was moving west northwest at 22 kph.

PAGASA forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said with this speed and direction, Crising may make landfall in the southern tip of Davao del Sur on Tuesday afternoon.

Public storm warning signal number 1 remains hoisted over Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Samal Island, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, southern part of Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.
