THE Belo Medical Group is planning to open a surgical center in Davao City to expand the beauty medical clinic's operation in the city, Cristalle Belo Henares, managing director, said during the Belo Festivale Beauty Fair ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday.

The three-day beauty fair runs until today, Wednesday, at Activity Center of Abvreeza Mall.

Henares said they have decided to establish Mindanao's first Belo clinic in Davao City "because it is a very progressive city in the south."

"Davao City did not prove as wrong. Grabe ang response and embrace ng customers here, very warm and we are hitting more than our target," she said.

Belo medical clinic in Davao has recorded an average of over 700 customer traffic monthly since its soft opening in February, this year.

"Our grand launch here in Davao is in time with the Kadayawan festival and our silver anniversary celebration," Henares said.

At present, the group is exploring the possibility of offering surgical procedures like liposuction, rhinoplasty and blepharoplasty. They are eyeing to partner with some of the city's medical centers.

"We'll announce as soon as we have signed in with our partner. We are still in the process of exploring the right medical facility that can provide the appropriate surgical requirements," John Eric D. Ho, Belo Medical Group public relations manager, said adding that they have international standards of compliance to meet as per National Accreditation Board for Healthcare (NABH) International.

Belo's Davao clinic is its 11th branch. At present, it has clinics in the cities of Muntinlupa, Cebu, Taguig, Makati, San Juan, Quezon, Mandaluyong and Davao.
