BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (PIA) – Officials from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office, together with the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), visited Bayog to check on the status of the proposed irrigation and farm-to-market roads to be implemented under the Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support project (ARISP) III.
During the forum held on Thursday, Mayor Leonardo L. Babasa, Jr. warmly received the officials from the national government agencies mentioned. The feasibility study conducted by NIA on the irrigation projects and the detailed engineering on the farm-to-market road and its program of work were also presented during the forum for discussion.
PAGADIAN CITY (PIA) – Zamboanga Sibugay Second District Rep. Romeo Jalosjos, Jr. has formally turned over the newly completed Philippine National Police (PNP) Barracks constructed inside the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Police Headquarters Compound in Barangay Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
In his speech, Jalosjos said the barracks is just one of the many projects his office plans to grant the Sibugay PNP. He added that acquisition of water system equipment like pipes, water pumps and tanks for the enhancement and upgrading of the water system of the PNP Provincial Headquarters amounting to R1M is under way. Senior Supt. Ruben D. Cariaga, Sr., Provincial Director of PNP-Sibugay, expressed his gratitude to Jalosjos for the projects that he said will greatly benefit the PNP.
Peace of council
DIPOLOG CITY (PIA) – The district office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) here headed by Henry Tianero has strengthened the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) by enlisting the membership of businessmen, government agencies and non-government organizations.
Tianero recently invited the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) to become one of the members of TIPC, which also serves as DoLE’s partner in implementing its programs such as Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES), DOLE ZAMPEN Testing and Job Coaching Center, Phil-Job Net System, One Locality, One Industry, One Service (3Y) Program and others.
