In a Facebook post, Davao City Information Officer Jefry Tupas said President Rodrigo Duterte’s daughter was locked out of her account because her page was “heavily reported.”
The incident comes after Nathaniel Gleicher, Facebook head of cybersecurity policy, announced that the social media giant shut down at least 200 pro-Duterte Facebook and Instagram pages, accounts and groups for “coordinated inauthentic behavior, misleading others about who they were and what they were doing.”
The social media activities, Facebook said, were linked to a network organized by public relations expert Nic Gabanuda.
Gabanuda was the manager of the social media group of Duterte’s campaign in 2016.
Malacanang said previously that Duterte had nothing to do with the Facebook accounts.
