PRDP approves P919.4-million infra projects for Davao region

THE Philippine Rural Development Project’s (PRDP) Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) 11 approved five additional infrastructure project proposals amounting to P919,425,627 for four provinces in Region 11.

The approved Intensified Building up of Infrastructure and Logistics for Development (IBUILD) project proposals include, P201,043,885.49 for the rehabilitation of the Sonlon-Camansa farm-to-market (FMR) road in Davao del Norte; P248,036,217.78 concreting of Waterfall-Osmeña FMR with PSCG Bridge; and P169,861,199.40 rehabilitation of San Isidro, Hagonoy to Km.67, Matanao FMR in Davao del Sur; P191,119,236.61 rehabilitation of Barangay Cabinuangan-Magangit FMR with three units bridge retrofitting works in Compostela Valley province; and P109,365,087.62 rehabilitation of San Agustin-Mamacao Tanglad FMR in Davao Occidental.

The recent RPAB meeting was chaired by Chief Maria Febe T. Orbe of the Department of Agriculture RFO 11’s Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division, in behalf of Regional Executive Director Ricardo M. Oñate and attended by RPAB members from the departments of Agrarian Reform, Environment and Natural Resources, the Interior and Local Government, and of the Public Works and Highways, Mindanao Development Authority, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, the Department of Trade and Industry, and Regional Agricultural and
Fishery Council.

“Let’s work hard together in ensuring that each proposal we have today is ready to pass all the screening process it has to go through in the next level and hopefully, we can see these projects implemented soon,” Orbe said.

The RPAB will endorse the approved five infrastructure development project proposals to PRDP for fund support under the IBUILD component.

Each subproject proposal was presented to the RPAB members by one local government unit (LGU) representative from Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Occidental and Compostela
Valley province.

The approved subproject proposals should comply with all the requirements and should qualify to the IBUILD Prioritization Scheme that sets criteria on the LGU performance in terms of procurement, disbursement, compliance to social and environmental safeguards, transparency through applied geotagging tools, and other criteria included in the prioritization scheme.

The next level for the RPAB approved project proposal would be another series of review by the Project Support Office Mindanao and then by the National Project Coordination Office for the issuance of No Object Letter 1 and 2, and then final project implementation.
