Top business execs, leaders gather in Davao

SOME 100 business leaders and executives gathered Tuesday during the second Asia CEO Forum at the Marco Polo Hotel-Davao for business matching, benchmarking and networking in a bid to position Davao City a hub for better business operations.

The second edition of the one of the most well-attended business events in the country has brought international key speakers and coaches who discussed on focused topics including “Driving High Performance across Functions” and “Unleashing Incredible Performance in Your Team.”

Lars Wittig, Country Manager of Regus Philippines, the world's leading provider of office space, virtual office services, meeting rooms & business services, in his speech during the event underscored that in succeeding and leading a business, one must familiarize and know the customer’s demands and understand one’s products and services “by heart.”

“It is important to know both your customer and product through that one can harness success in the business industry,” he said.

He also shared that one must identify new key success factors, own new practices and be innovative all the time, to be responsive to change.

Other key speaker who shared their thoughts and techniques in running a business are Carmie de Leon, VP for Sales and Marketing of Healthway Medical; Bjorn Martinoff, President and Founder of The Fortune 100 Coaches Network; and Rebecca Bustamante of Asia CEO Awards.

Asia CEO website bared that the forum “functions as an activist to promote the activities of local and multinational organizations across Southeast Asia."

Asia CEO Forum is staged annually in the country, this year, for the second time Davao City will be hosting the event furthering its bid of being as a premier business destination in the country.

The first Asia CEO Forum staged in the city was conducted last December of 2015.
